What did you eat for Christmas? DO you even celebrate it? I’m not a massive fan because it’s all so commercial and that puts me off – just like all the Hallmarks like Valentine’s. If my partner started being “into” Valentine’s Day, then I would break his legs. If he wanted me to put up a Christmas tree, I would impale him upon the bows and…ok let’s stop now.
But what I do like, is the ability to cook for people without it being weird. Most food needs an excuse, you know? Oh, why is there a cake? Friggin beCAUSE. At Christmas, I can just say for christmas, duh. And everyone is OK. Not that I made much this week because I worked so much I had no time and perpetually felt like an old lady. I also secretly freak out about making intricate special foods when it’s too dark to photograph and therefore can’t be blogged. How selfish! But that’s how I roll.
