OOooh, I made soup and it was good. A big fat chunky soup, almost a stew. My partner, being the big manly man that he is, does not always enjoy my soups of smooshy straw-sucking veggies. I don’t suck my soup through a straw, but you know what I mean when I say the soup is all smooth and thin. He finds it isn’t filling. He’s one of those vegans that sometimes craves a bitey something like a steak, so a watery soup makes the animal in him feel unsatisfied. I think he’s full of s**t but most men are and that’s why we love them. That, and they reach the things up in the tall places for us.
This soup was delicious. The original recipe calls for a coconut milk, but I didn’t add this because I just didn’t want to. I serve with with Indian spiced corn fritters, because I had no bread and I had some left over moosh from my sourdough starter. Moosh isn’t the technical term, but I can’t think what it is right not!
