We have started our cleanse off with a smoothie. We had this at around 12pm, after our big Day 1 shop. With a lighter pocket, we still felt happy about the array of beautiful veg. This is a smoothie from the CLEAN book, as I wanted to get a feel for how this would all work together. I think I will definitely be using my own creative skills from here-on-out.
1 1/2 cups mylk
1 cup water
2 handfuls spinach
1/4 avocado flesh
1/2 cup frozen mango chunks
1. Blend it all.
I was surprised to find that after about an hour the hunger went away. At first my brain kept telling me I wanted more food, but I ignored it quite easily.
Chris rated this smoothie 7/10 – He said it tasted pleasant and felt nourishing.
I rated it 5/10 – I wanted a sweeter smoothie, because I’m a fiend. I loved the colour and texture, but I couldn’t get out of my head that it needed banana!
