The hydro had a spring cleaning session, and the insides are now free of any accumulated algae. I have planted a few herb seedlings that will do well in the shade. Pictured are parsley, basil, mint (which does very well in the hydro!) and a few leafy greens left over from Winter (there is a bunch of spinach + chard + kale). The mint is insanely fast growing (and delicious) so I have to check it weekly. Underneath my cup of mint, i have noticed that roots begin to sprout all by themselves, so I need to check it doesn’t overtake my hydro.
My seedlings that are NOT doing so well, include the capsicums, tomatoes and chilli. Perhaps it isn’t hot enough yet? Who knows, they seem to take a while. I will have to wait until it really heats up (although today is 30*C so it should be enough to get some movement happening).
