Today’s bowl was delicious. My partner kept bugging me for it, and dragging me out of the garden with threats that he would start making something if I didn’t. But I had a craving for a particular flavour and so I pushed him aside and hopped to it. This isn’t to say he’s a sexist “get in the kitchen” kinda guy, but shows more that I’m a bit of a kitchen control freak, especially when I have a recipe in mind for that evening’s meal.
1 cup couscous
1 cup boiled veg stock
½ tsp chilli powder
1 TB butter
I usually just use a jar!
Pour it all into a jar, whack on the lid for a few minutes, and wait until it absorbs it all.
Remove the lid, and stir it up. Done.
1 can brown lentils
¼ cup tomatoey BBQ sauce
In a saucepan or fryer, heat up the lentils in the sauce. Cook out any water, until it’s thick and stick. Spicy BBQ sauce is best, IMO.
1 medium sweet potato
4 white potato
2 tsp cumin
2 TB olive oil
I baked the sweet potato and potatoes for about 35 minutes at 220°C.
I sprinkled/coated the potatoes in the oil and cumin before baking.
The rest of the veg is fresh.
